General conditions for using the site
These general conditions regulate the relationship between the organizers of GreenUP – “Zero Waste” EOOD and “Vangavis” EOOD, on the one hand, and the participants of the competition, on the other hand.
Please read these Terms and Conditions before applying to participate.
I. Basic concepts in this contract
In the interpretation and application of these General Terms and Conditions, the basic terms used shall have the following meaning:
Competition: The competition for which you accept the General Terms and Conditions when applying – GreenUP
Organizers: “Zero Waste” EOOD and “Vangavis” EOOD
Participant: Any natural or legal person who has filled out the registration form with a presentation of a solution to at least one of the cases, which is available on the website.
Website: The competition website which provides participants with the opportunity to obtain official competition information as well as online application.
II. Online application
To enter the competition, entrants must complete an online entry form which can be found on the challenge page on the website.
The organizers reserve the right not to serve participants who have entered wrong, incorrect or insufficient data. Participants who enter clearly and systematically incorrect data will be deleted from the database.
III. Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible to participate in the GreenUP competition, participants must meet the following criteria:
- Participants must be at least 18 years of age or have obtained parental or legal guardian consent if under 18.
- Participants must not be an employee or immediate family member of the Organizers, their affiliates, or sponsors.
- Participants must not be involved in any part of the administration or execution of the competition.
IV. Submission Guidelines
By participating in the competition, participants agree to:
- Comply with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations in their respective jurisdictions.
- Provide original and unique solutions to the challenges posted on the Website.
- Grant the Organizers a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use, reproduce, distribute, and display their submitted solutions for promotional and informational purposes.
V. Liability Disclaimer
The organizers are not responsible for holding the competition in case of force majeure such as an earthquake, natural disasters, war, threat of a terrorist act, pandemic, etc. circumstances arising from reasons beyond the control of the organizers that prevent the event from taking place.
The Organizers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with the competition, including, but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses. Participants assume all risks associated with their participation in the competition and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Organizers from any claims, liabilities, or expenses arising out of their participation.
VI. Modification of Terms and Conditions
The Organizers reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time, with or without prior notice. Participants are responsible for regularly reviewing the Terms and Conditions for any changes. Continued participation in the competition after any changes to the Terms and Conditions constitutes acceptance of those changes.
VII. Termination
The Organizers reserve the right to suspend or terminate the competition or any challenge at any time for any reason, including but not limited to, technical issues, fraud, or other factors beyond their control. In the event of termination, the Organizers may, at their sole discretion, determine the winners based on the submissions received up to the point of termination.
VIII. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the country in which the Organizers are registered, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Participants agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that country for the resolution of any disputes arising out of or in connection with the competition or these Terms and Conditions.
IX. Protection of personal data
The organizers strictly apply the relevant measures to protect personal data from third parties, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act. The organizers undertake not to change or disclose any personal information about the participants who applied for the event, and not to provide the collected information to third parties.
The organizers reserve the right to use part of the data entered in the application form as part of the statistical information they announce about the respective competition, as well as for their own marketing purposes. The personal data provided by the participants may be used to inform the development of the activities of the organizers. The organizers reserve the right to use/mention any entrant’s name and/or company for promotional material or blog/social media/media content.
When storing data, we apply the general principle of storing data in a minimum volume and for a period no longer than is necessary to provide the services, ensure their security and reliability and the requirements of the law.
The organizer retains the data from the application until a request for removal by the participant.
We process your personal data only in accordance with the above-mentioned purposes and terms. It is important to know that you can withdraw your consent to the processing of personal data at any time by writing to us at bgzerowaste@gmail.com
As a data subject, you have the right to access the personal data processed for you. In addition, you can object to the collection and further processing of your personal data, as well as request that the same be corrected or deleted (where there is no valid legal basis for us to continue processing it).
